SPICT-ID identifies people for palliative care in Indonesia

Colleagues from Indonesia translated and validated SPICT-ID and have just published their cross-sectional study using SPICT-ID to identify patients with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) for palliative care.

The authors say:

“In Indonesia, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) are a contributing factor to mortality with most cases involving heart disease, cancer, chronic lung disease and diabetes. Accordingly, the identification of palliative care needs is very important as a first step in providing palliative care.”
